Common Questions
All new clients begin with a private in-person or virtual consultation. This is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation where we learn about your vision, your lifestyle, and your needs. There is no obligation to commission after the consultation.
Pricing depends on the complexity of the design, fabric selection, and construction time. Couture and bridal commissions are priced upon consultation.
For couture gowns and bridal, we recommend 4–6 months in advance. Custom apparel typically requires 4–8 weeks. For events with hard deadlines, earlier is always better — we maintain a waiting list during peak seasons.
Fittings take place at Karen's private studio in Holly Springs.
Absolutely — and we encourage it. Bring swatches, magazine pages, Pinterest screenshots, heirloom pieces, or anything that speaks to your aesthetic. The more context we have, the better the result.
Karen serves clients throughout the greater Triangle — Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, Apex, Wake Forest, and surrounding communities. Inquiries from outside the Triangle are welcome on a case-by-case basis.
